- I was born in the first half of the last century. That sounds Very Old. Ancient is as ancient does. I am retired with just enough income to support my habits and interests and pay for trips to Texas, where my son insists on keeping half of my grandchildren. I am gramma to 3 there, 3 here in Western Washington--Jack who is six, and his two and 1/2 year old twin sisters.
